Default Turn?

Villain is 48/14.6/0.85
I've raised his last 2 blinds in a row, this is the third and hes 3 bet each one so far with what looks like solid hands but hes never won any of them.

i like just calling down after the turn raise. the preflop cap may be a little bit debatable...was this guy tilting do you think?

No, but I did feel my hand was above his hand range and I did want to take the lead in the hand.

Seems fine to me. I might not 3-bet the turn, as I get scared holding only a pair on a turn check raise.

The first part of that is marginal, but the second is very bad. You have to be willing to 3bet the turn sometimes with one pair if the situation calls for it.

The thing about 3betting here is if he caps you hate it. That's no reason to not 3bet though. He could easily take the line with KQ, JQ, JJ, whatever. THe PF cap is pretty standard.

I believe I would play this the exact same way.

after the cap on the turn I am guessing I'm in real trouble...but obviously am still calling the river.

Calling the turn isn't too bad though imo.
If bluff c/r'ing the turn then he could easily fold to your 3-bet.
Whereby if you just call the turn you could induce him to continue the bluff on the river (obviously extracting more than you would/could have of course).

But 3-betting the turn and keeping up the aggression is a good default play too....just to show that you WILL keep the heat on him. And if you think he could be tilting as well as prone to capping here with QJ or whatever then it obviously has value.

The last 3 blind steals aside, I don't 3 bet this turn against an opponent this passive with no diamonds. I'm more apt to call and raise a brick river. I don't see villain raising this turn with something like AdKo
