Default $150 emachines desktop didn\'t work out.....Question

I got to my BB at 2am, waited the lines, was the 2nd to last person to get the "Ticket" for this item, only to find out 4 hours later no matter how much upgrading I did, it could not support 2 monitors.

Question:
I am looking for a reasonable desktop that can support 2 monitors with 1600x1200. Am I going to need a new video card no matter what I buy?

Why wouldn't it work? from what I understand you just need a video card for each monitor or a video card that has multiple outputs?
