Uhh... I wasn't trying to sound smart. Sorry if the way I write comes off like that.

I have always thought of poker as a college test; fold, call, check, or raise. And I would never listen to music if I was taking an important test.

I'm a music addict. I listen to music CONSTANTLY while playing poker. I pretty much listen to music all day long while possible. And I have listened to cd's during a few of my finals for my Math exams, computer science exam, and a few others. I did fine on them. Music is neato.

I'm not sure if it's -EV for me or not. But it sure helps with the A.D.D. factor that I have =). Though I usually have fairly good concentration at the table. I'm a little nervous when I make my first B&M trip, if I'll be too bored, b/c I can't 8-table as easy

I probably could never wear headphones in live games because:

1) I can't stop bobbing my head or humming to the music.

2) I can't hear what others are saying and pick up tells.

3) How and when I'm bobbing my head is probably a tell, then again it could be completely random because the song changed.

If I had to pick something I was going to listen to over and over, Clair de Lune would not be a bad choice.

I think a more interesting question is how does music affect your poker playing when you are playing on the internet?

Naw, he is right. I have ADD, I have background music 24/7 as well. I had developed the background music habit long years before I learned it was a common practice or habit for those w/ ADD. It helps in everything, not just poker.

Care to explain anymore? I'm just curious. What do you mean developed background music habit? and what does that have to do with ADD.

Thanks
