Amusing yourself on a losing day
You know how it is. Get up on a Saturday and fire up Party, open up some tables, and BAM! you just start getting pwned in every possible way. Your AQ falls to AK over and over, queens lose to a flopped king, and you've got kings over queens and you lose to the straight. You finally get AA and three queens arrive to inform you that this (huge) pot (that you built) isn't sliding your way, buddy. Great hands - but someone else always has a monster. This is the kind of unavoidable day that just takes your bankroll and snaps it in half.
Everyone has them, sure. So what does everybody else do after this? Wipe it from your mind instantly and go do something else? Beat the hell out of a pillow? Grit your teeth and commit yourself to playing for 10 hours straight? Go hunting?

I've actually gotten to where I just let it go and say to myself my turn's comin. (ain't actually seen a big downswing yet tho.)

Watching TV and surfing the net helps. Getting your mind off of, "Gee, I wonder how my big pair is going down this time?" is always nice.
It's amazing how streaks go, though. I was shocked just now when my AA actually held up. Double shocked when the check-raise on the river didn't turn out to be another runner-runner flush, and bowled over when my semi-bluff actually worked. I think you just have to accept that short-term results are mainly about luck, and anyone who says different is just fooling himself.

I've got a great one:
Go back to Party and get extremely lucky at one table to replace half the losses from earlier. Then go visit the attractive girl at work and get her to agree to go on a poker trip to Turning Stone overnight... This is a good time to use the word PWNED!!! (side note: it will be a good day when Webster adds "pwned" to the dictionary.)

Chinese food man! Just order the number 55 from three fortunes after the defeat...works everytime. I promise.
55 = Pork fried rice, General Tsos(sp?)Chicken, and Crab Rangoons...
