Default Re: Party VIP offers - November

i got one of these too.

but I already have an offer for $1250 for 30k raked-hands.

It looks different to me and I wonder if I am getting both of them (kind of like getting Oct pop-up and the VIP bonus thing)

$150 for 4250 points or $250 for 6375 points.

How hard is it to get these points? I play 100NL 6-max and will play ~20K hands between now and the end of the month.

Thanks

Posted on 11/12:
I just called PP and talked to a rep in the VIP dept. He sounded professional and helpful, but did not make me an offer. He said that they will not be making any more offers via phone calls because they don't have enough people to make the calls. He said that they are currently figuring the offers and will be emailing them within the next 72 hours. He said that November payments will be made shortly after the beginning of December. The rest of what he said was just a repeat of the original VIP email.

i too got an email on 11/7 saying i'm in the vip club, and an offer will be made that week.

well, today's 11/15 and still no phone call or email.

i sent vip another email.. but not holding my breath

1 point = $2 raked

and bonus points don't count towards meeting the requirements of your offer.

edit:
This is SnGs. dont remember rules for ring games. but should be the same?!

So they offered me a deal below my rakeback amount over email. How do I go about declining it without making it obvious I'm getting rakeback?

Default My Letter to Party after my offer....

I play $5/10 and $10/20 stud, with a little $3/6 thrown in.

Sinead or Whomever,

Well, I was awaiting my November offer from Party VIP club. I have now received it and have to admit I'm dissapointed. For two reasons, first in your previous email you mention :

"Please feel free to log on to our table in the interim, as all hands played in the month of November, by our VIP members, will count towards their November target."

But my offer states that this is not true and only points between the 15th and 30th of November will count towards my bonus :

"As a VIP Club member earn 2875 regular Party Points between November 15 and November 30 and we will ‘thank’ you with a healthy $ 100 cash bonus deposited directly into your account.* "

The second and biggest problem I have with this offer is that I don't consider $100 a "healthy" bonus for this amount of action. I would generate for Party playing this amount of hands, about $1650 in contributed rake from me. $100 is a pittance compared to this amount! I have much experience with Casino operations and the typical "comp" value given to customers is 25% of expected winnings. And this is for a brick and morter casino with tons higher cost overhead than your operation. 6% "comp" value is just insulting, especially for "VIP" player.

As a poker player trying to make money, I need to play wherever I can make the most, when factoring in the games, rake, and bonuses. With this offer, it has now become clear that where I can make the most is not Party Poker. So bye-bye.

So - if you consider signing up with PP with an affiliate (20-25%), do you think you would be better off, just make a direct sign-up at party ?

Play 100 NL, 9000h/month (playhands, not raked hands)
