Default Second hand at table - how to play with no reads?

Crypto $1/2
Second hand at the table. Haven't played against any of the players before. Is this play correct or should I be more tight when I have no reads?

----- HOLE CARDS -----
dealt to Hero[Ah[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img](sb)
3 players limps.
Hero calls $0.50
bb: checks
----- FLOP ----- [8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]]
Hero: checks
3 players check.
bb bets $1
Hero: raises $2
3 limpers
bb: raises $2
Hero: calls $1
Put him on Ace with good kicker.

----- TURN ----- [[8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ][ 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]]
Hero: checks
bb: bets $2
Hero: calls $2
This feels really weak. Bet or check/raise c/f might be better?

----- RIVER ----- [8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]][3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]]
Hero: checks
bb: bets $2
Hero: calls $2

Any comments? Feels like I played this one too weak.

Just bet out on the flop, you can't be sure someone else is going to bet and you could end up giving a free card.

I think you should have pushed harder. You have top two pair on the flop, he hasn't got 77 or 88 here often enough for you to not cap. If he bets the turn after I capped the flop I would call down.

I think you gave him too much credit too early.

Fold preflop, Ax is a terrible hand to have to play out of position, especially without any reads.

The flop action is messed up. You check, and then 3 people check, and then the BB bets? That is impossible as you are the SB, so is the action:

Hero checks, BB bets, 3 calls, Hero raises, BB re-raises, 3 calls, Hero calls?

My mistake, guess i'm kind of tired here and messed up the history when trying to make it readable from Crypto's log

The player i'm up against is the Button. So from flop and forth BB should say Button

This is (hopefully) the correct history:
----- HOLE CARDS -----
dealt to Hero[Ah 8c](sb)
3 players limps.
Button: calls
Hero calls $0.50
BB: checks

----- FLOP ----- [8d 7d As]
Hero: checks
BB+limpers check.
Button bets $1
Hero: raises $2
BB+limpers fold
Button: raises $2
Hero: calls $1

----- TURN ----- [8d 7d As ][ 2d]
Hero: checks
Button: bets $2
Hero: calls $2
This feels really weak. Bet or check/raise c/f might be better?

----- RIVER ----- [8d 7d As 2d][3s]
Hero: checks
Button: bets $2
Hero: calls $2

OK, that's better

I still fold preflop, Axo is a bad hand. On the flop the checkraise is OK as long as you have a read that someone from late position will bet this flop. You do not want to give a free card to anyone with two diamonds. The button could be betting a lot of hands here, maybe a pair of 8s or a flush draw. When he 3bets, however, you've got to put him on an ace. Heads up, I would probably cap the flop and lead the turn. If he raises again, you can call down. If he calls, lead the river and call a raise.

I've been real weak-tight lately, so this might be a bit over-LAG Anyone else want to chime in?

The button must like his hand on the flop. May have a good ace or something. I doubt he has a flush draw since he 3bet the flop. Would carry on being agressive on the turn
