Default first round on 55s and up

i know its against the super weak-tight strategies that are generally suggested here for early round play, but i like to play hands such as Axs and suited connectors on the first 2 rounds, and if i hit a big draw i play it aggressively, i think it is worth the risk if you can gain an early chiplead, convince me im wrong

i do this at 11s and 22s and it seems to pay off ... if you're in LP and there isnt a raise it seems like a good play at levels 1 and 2 as long as you know when to lay it down

Though I don't have a sufficient sample size in 55s, my general experience with PP sngs is that doubling up early is overrated. Bubble play is where you make your money, and you don't need a huge stack for that. IMO, big draws can be expensive. If you consider that a big stack early does not guarantee $$, while an aggressive all in that you lose guarantees $0, you should wait to make your aggressive plays.

I am no expert, so if anyone can back me up or correct me it would be useful.

ive been playing the 100's and 200's, the blinds generally get pretty big before its shorthanded, i think its better to have a stack that you can sit back and chill durring this period than be forced to go all in on your next face card

its much more effective to open up early in the 109s and 215s than it is in the 10s and 20s. u can fold everything and be a pushbot for 20%+ in the 10s. u gotta actually paly some poker early in the 215s and 109s. everyone can play a bubble. holla
