Bart, are you nuts? I love watching football live.
Also, there is a reason why hockey scores low in tv ratings. It's not watchable. In fact, RERUNS of poker got more ratings then the NHL Finals Game 7 2 years ago.

The NHL found someone foolish enough (Comcast, owner of OLN) to give them $135m/2 years. NBC paid the NHL $0 up front.
ESPN figured that they could throw pro athletes bowling, football players go thru an obstacle course and poker and get better ratings at a much lower price, and they did. If OLN gets a late season NFL package in 2006, which is possible, then Comcast gets the national sports network they've wanted to compete with ESPN.

At least we are finally talking about something interesting....sports! Hockey is good again because the Penguins might actually win some games this year.
