Default Live MTT, 2 tables remaining with large blind to stack ratio:

Last night I played in my first live MTT. With about 16 or 15 people remaining and top 7 paying, everybody at the table had between 7-20 thousand chips with the blinds at 1000-2000.

My stack is at 15000

It is announced that for the next hand, blinds will be raised to 2000-4000. UTG+1, who just joined the table, pushes all-in with 14700. I look down and see 77 in UTG+2. What is my action? I'll post my action and results later.

I started to post a bunch of questions about the table and your image but then I realized I'm almost definitely pushing regardless of how you answer them.

basically with blinds like this it is an all in fest. The majority of the time you will find yourself in a race situation with 77, depending on whether you want to gamble your stack. Personally, unless i have a very strong hand i prefer to be the aggressor going all-in. These blinds are very valuable to steal in comparison to your stack, you can double or even triple your stack if you pick your moment.
interested to see what you did ...

sorry, i failed to realize how quic the bb was coming to you. although as i stated earlier i prefer being the aggressor, with the blinds raising that fast , and with your stack ... this is an auto push as well, and hope for the best .

Sounds to me like you are either tied 77 vs 2 overcards or way behind a larger pair I want to put my chips into the pot when I am ahead or have some fold equity. Muck this rag

UTG does this with a large range of hands a good percentage of the time because the blinds are so large and UTG raises are scary... I call with 77... I expect to see lower PP and naked aces just as much as over cards and higher PP... definite push if you're playing to win.
