Default It\'s much simpler than all this

I don't think Mike is trying to argue this...

[ QUOTE ]
Given your logic, they should then be willing to allow me to remove money from the table in the middle of a hand that it looks like I am going to lose. After all, I may go lose it to the casino instead.

[/ QUOTE ]

Rather, I think that you are simply uncomfortable with the tone he used in his explanation for his opinion on this matter. Tone, schmone, he explained his position, and right or wrong, whether you agree with him or not, he gave reasons for his arguements, which is what you asked for in the first place.

I think the rule, quoted from Robert's rules of poker, that applies here is as follows...

"4. Money and chips may be removed for security purposes when leaving the table. The establishment is not responsible for any shortage or removal of chips left on the table during a player's absence, even though we will try to protect everyone as best we can. All removed funds must be fully restored when returning to the game. "

Really, all this debate is actually rather extraneous, because this is the rule that clearly applies here. I would be quite surprised if the wynn had a DIFFERENT rule than this one.

There are no stipulations for what you may or may not be doing while you are away from the table mentioned in this rule, nor should their be.

If you lose your cash playing craps, then you either pony up the same amount you had when you left, or you lose your seat, simple as that.

That is because you are the play-over king. I loved what you did at the Bellagio that day.

I think you're a nit and should've just minded your own business.

In other news - I juat got back from the Wynn where one guy at our 15/30 table busted out and had $1 left. Said he was going to get more money and never returned.
It took freaking forever to get the floor to fill his seat.
Over an hour according to the players who were there before me (but other players NEVER exaggerate about such things of course).

We lost a couple other players and had one other guy 'away' from the table.
So we were 5-handed and the other guys didn't want to play until they filled the freaking seats (the list was 15 or so people long) so we all took a piss-break.

They finally filled the seats (took about 10-15 minutes....I was on a phone-call during the break and when I came back they were still waiting).
That's one dealer who wasn't making much in tips during his down.

Later we had 2 guys leave and another player 'away' and it was still taking awhile to fill the seats in spite of the lengthy list of people.

I wasn't 'nitting' the floor about it. A couple others who I think are semi-regulars were taking care of that.
But it was really frustrating for the players who were there.

Of course, I was fine with it because I'm comfortable in short-handed games.

I love the Wynn room though and do enjoy the extra space you get on a 9-seat table.
But we really had a tough time keeping that table 9-handed even with a lengthy wait-list.
They would call one name for the empty-seat and then give up. Then they would focus on calling 5 or 6 names for the 2/5 NL open-seat.
Then we would remind them that we still had an empty-seat on our table....and so on and so on.
I think it was just a tough night for them though and doubt it's a regular occurance.
and as I already said...I love the Wynn room.

Are you rzitup from the old RGP? What shifts do you work? I stagger in occassionally to look for the alleged CP game, and to fall in love with the cocktail waitresses (I think they must like me--they keep bringing me free drinks).

This was only my 2nd time there and it was only for a couple hours.
I didn't see you there but I admit I wasn't looking very hard.

If I make it back over there I'll try to hunt you down!! (so watch out)

When I walk from a game for dinner or whatever, I take all bills and large chips with me. Any floor that tells me I can't would be dumb.
