Default Canterbury from Downtown Minny

I'm planning a trip to Minneapolis later this year, will be staying with a friend who says he lives about 6 blocks from the Metrodome right on the river (hope this is helpfull, I don't know the area).

I would like to get up to Canterbury for a long session, but my friend won't want to go. Do I have any options like public transportation or casino shuttles to get up to Canterbury? How much will a taxi cost me? Couldn't find any info on their website.

A cab is probably your best bet. It's only about 25-30 miles from the Metrodome. According to the bus schedule, it's a three hour trip if you decide to go with public transit.

rent a car for the day. That can't be too expensive.

It'd probably be cheaper than the cab, assuming his friend has access to free parking for a guest.
