I'm capping this flop, if only to make the hands that don't belong pay for the privilege. Five to the turn? Wowza.

Just because someone 3bet the flop doesnt mean you have to resign yourself to the fact that TPTK is no good.

I'd have capped the flop and led the turn.

This hand is very standard, if you are folding anywhere in this hand its a bad fold.

You are not folding the turn as you have the odds to call your gutshot, and no one is going to fold TPTK here in a 20 BB pot for 1 BB

Right, like i said I really felt like there was no way in hell I could fold this, but at the same time, there is no way in hell I thought I could ever be good here. My question is this. What if the river goes like this:

First guys bets, second guy raises, third guy cold calls.

Now there are 23 BB in the pot and you are getting 11.5-1. My question is, how sure do you have to be that you are no good to fold here?

I might have even capped the flop for fun myself. But calling down the turn and river UI has got to be right here.

NH.

I think we have too much equity on the flop not to cap.

can you explain me the idea of 'equity' ? ... still rather new here

Buy Small Stakes Hold Em, and do a search of these forums. Check out the micro limits too, a little more orientated towards these ideas.

Isn't this standard?

Already ordered small stakes hold 'em two days ago... It will probably be delivered after the weekend along with

- 7 card stud for advanced players
- tournament poker for advanced players
- the theory of poker
- the psychology of poker

hopefully these books will make me a better all around poker player... I kinda like learned the game myself with the help of some sites at the beginning, then I ordered hold 'em for advanced players, but I'm still playing small stakes hold 'em,

any other books you could recommend ?
