6 max game

bb in this game seems reasonable. couple hands before he defended me in an argument vs another player who is bad mouthing everybody on the table. so maybe he has some respect for my play?

i raise A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in the CO. SB folds. BB calls.

Flop: A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

BB bets. I raise. BB 3-bets.

Turn: A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

BB bets. I raise. He 3-bets.

River: 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

BB bets. I fold.

I dont quite get it here raising/calling down and fold for 1 bet? that is a big pot and you have trips I want to see his flush if he has it or his weak ace.

I think he could place Ax with a heart like this, so I call the river.

I think this is the kind of fold you need to make to "reasonable players". Now a reasonable player isn't going to go crazy with trips and an 7 kicker on this board (unless you've been laggish). If he has the A with the Kh or Qh, has flopped the flush or filled up he 3bets. which looks like the case here. So you beeat something like A9-A7 A4 A3. etc. Weigting them it even seems more like fold. If he insta bets the river I think you can find a fold. Whether or not I can find that fold in the heat of battle, is tough

I think its possible enough you will see a weaker ace for this to be a call. His play wouldnt be inconsistent for a hand like A9, especially if he views you as good and aggresive.

is it wrong that i would call down after he's not afraid of the A on the turn and still leads?

You and Krish need to get a "Watch me fold trips on the river for one bet" room. Next thing you know you'll be telling us you can dodge bullets.
