I disagree.

Lets say you are dealt hand A and SB raises. Hand A has 52% equity against SB's steal range. I give you two choices: You can call and checkraise any flop or you can 3-bet and bet any flop.

Either way, you will be putting in 4 SB pre flop and on the flop with 52% equity. The only difference is that 2 of those SB have variable equities depending on the flop texture when you call and checkraise instead of 1 when you 3-bet and lead.
