I should add that there are the significant downsides to the 21" crt of it being huge, heavy, and using significantly more energy than the LCD. The dang thing practically fills my desk. But I think it does rank high on the utility/cost scale. 85 Hz refresh rate means it should be a good gaming monitor.
I looked into health issues since the CRT does put out more radiation, and found lots of hype, but no solid evidence showing health effects from using a CRT for work. B. |

The major radiation from a monitor or t.v. comes from the back(same with a microwave oven). So don't point the back of your monitor at chairs where your kid will be sitting, etc., and don't sit too close to the back of a monitor yourself.
