Default 2001fp help needed plz

im trying to turn down the brightness on my dell 2001fp, but when i hit the button on my monitor to go to the menu the "image settings" options is blacked out. what do i have to do?

You run it in DVI mode?

According to http://stores.tomshardware.com/ratin...37/id_type=M//

"Weaknesses: No brightness or image settings in DVI mode."

Adjust it in windows instead.

Press the minus button. That brings up the brightness/contrast menu. You can't do the other image settings on DVI, but you shouldn't need to.

DVI is better I have two monitors one is hooked through the DVI other through the SVGA. DVI is sharper Same monitors
