I think you check/folded the best hand more often than not.

Hi jba,
That calculation shows Hero at 48.5 % which is not so bad. I can't slight the calcs for not giving Villian a wide enough range, if anything you allowed more than enough for that.

However, that calc shows equity at showdown. If Hero bets and Villian doesn't have an Ace, King or Seven, he will almost always fold here. If he calls again, then yes, he has a seven or a King or he's slowplaying the trips.

When Hero checks the turn, Villian will often auto-bet. If he gets Hero to fold one time in three, he makes money.

Usually I just keep firing until Villian raises, then I fold.

Note the King is the best card that could have come as long as Villian doesn't have one because it replaces Hero's weak kicker with the best possible one, ensuring a chop if Villian has a seven.

given he called with 2 people yet to act on the flop, im more inclined to believe him, at best he has a seven which you are now splitting with. I fold.

I wont always fold here tho. People love to call, cuz they suck at poker. If the situation was a little diff, id prolly bet the turn and fold to a raise, or then depending, check/fold the river
