Default AA: Always Call This Down HU?

BB is LPP (40+/9/1.5)

Should I just call this down? My plan was to raise the turn - but the 4th [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] came out and I froze...

Part of the problem is that you misplayed the flop.

3-bet the flop.

Including the bets that BB puts in on the turn and river, you have the chance to win 7.5 BB's by putting in two more BB's of your own.

3.75:1 money.

Will your hand be the best the required 1 time in 5 to call down?

I'd say it's very close, and probably on the -EV to call down. Even if it was +EV, you're not giving up much at all by folding here.

I say fold.

There's nothing wrong with calling the checkraise planning on raising the turn.

And I fold this turn.

Very true.

In fact, this may be a better line.

Actually, that's the line I usually take when playing hands like this. I think my initial response was biased by seeing the 4th [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] fall on the turn.

Yes, you can plan on raising any non-heart here.

Calling this flop to raise any turn card is my default.

Also, calling down in this spot is a poor option. Raising the turn and checking behind is hugely superior IMO.
