Re: loose tables kill me- how to play this hand
[ QUOTE ]
i would have such an urge to bet that river - but 4 others is too many [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, that would be just about the worst thing u can do in this hand. Cap the Flop for value. Hand probably plays a little different on the turn. If u can, Id check the turn. Check the River. No one is folding, well at least 2 are calling anyway. Also, the only place u can possibly fold is the river if its bet. |

Re: loose tables kill me- how to play this hand
I would cap the flop in a heartbeat.
I'm not so sure about the turn, I would estimate that you have something like 10 - 12 outs to win so my estimate of your pot equity is ~ 22 - 26 %. Kind of a close one, but i would have capped the turn. |

Cap the Flop for value. Hand probably plays a little different on the turn. [/ QUOTE ] I would raise the flop to 3 bets when it first gets to me, and I'm not understanding why the general advice here is to cap. Why not raise instead of call 2 bets? Anyone care to explain? |

Re: loose tables kill me- how to play this hand
you'd rather not blow CO, SB, and BB out of the pot at that point (when it's two bets to you on the flop) if possible. unfortunately for you, they folded anyway. fortunately for you, it was 3bet. capping the flop should be automatic, you have the entire remaining field stuck at that point.

Re: loose tables kill me- how to play this hand
Cap the flop.
3-bet the turn. You have the FD + OESD + 1 OC, giving you roughly 15 outs. Your equity is 30%. Fair share equity is only 20%, meaning you have a 10% equity advantage over the other players. Exploit it. |

Re: loose tables kill me- how to play this hand
Just a busted draw. You can play it in this passive way or raise/reraise on flop and turn (I think it's no big difference how to play such a draw, only a question of style).
Do you think a call with Kxs in middle position is profitable? |

Re: loose tables kill me- how to play this hand
Pretty new myself, but, in general, it looks pretty good. Yes I would have capped the turn for value - for an extra bet to break even you only have to win 1 in 5 times, but with 15 outs to a flush or str8 you will win 1 in 3 times.
I normally dont play Kxs in MP even in a loose game - but thats just me. |

Re: loose tables kill me- how to play this hand
cap the flop (flush draw equity vs at least 2 guaranteed callers)
cap the turn (OESD and flush draw for a 15 out draw). You could cap this turn with *only* the flush draw when you have 5 players along, the added oesd outs make it a no brainer. you missed the river, check it through against this many opponents. |

Re: loose tables kill me- how to play this hand
River was an easy/check fold. the flop and turn i feel like i should have been making the raises rather than calling them everytime. ninehanded i think K7s is a fine hand to play, because you know enoough of your opponents are playing junk and the flush potiential in the large pot is massive.
More importantly how can EVERYONE miss the river and check it through? I could look up results for those curious but i think one person had Q5 hearts, so top pair, weak kicker, flush draw. Another had a random A7o and i dont know what they were doing. There was 88,99 and me. |

[ QUOTE ]
by the end i had like 542323 outs to straight, flush. [/ QUOTE ] Whoah, you're playing holdem, dude. It's not a 6-shoe deck for blackjack or something. PF: good F: I don't know if I like your cold calling this raise. You want to get the cash in the middle at this point in the hand (even against a set, as long as enough people are coming). Therefore you have to be really really sure that UTG is going to 3-bet. When it gets back to you 3-bet, you must cap, because you can't afford to let the action close at 3 bets. With 7 players, you're really only afraid of the ace-high flush draw. T: Good call first time around. You have a lot of outs, you want to keep people in. When it gets three-bet back to you, by UTG (who had a made hand on the flop), and you're closing the action, cap it. You have tons of outs vs lots of players, cap cap cap! River: Perfect. Edit: With proper play from hero, this should have been a 35.5 BB pot. |
