Default Limping late in NL holdem tourney

I haven't played many large multi-table tournaments online, but have noticed that once the blinds are big (500/1000 or bigger) most hands are won with a preflop raise or re-raise. With these online tournaments, where you start with 1000 chips, most players (except maybe the chipleaders) will find that a preflop limp takes a considerable bite out of their stack and are usually faced with a later raise anyway. If you are at the chip average, you typically have enough to barely see a hand to the river. Are there any hands that you would limp with (other than Aces or Kings to trap) or does it mainly become a game of fold or raise if you are first into the pot? I noticed that the frequent limpers get knocked out rather quickly unless they catch a huge flop. Anyway, just wondering what other more experienced players opinions are.
Thanks, Ashley

At that point, I never limp in. It's either raise or fold. If you just limp, you risk the blinds hitting a flop and ruining your 2-7 offsuit blind stealing attempt. I never call after the blinds reach a certain point.
