I don't think it's that clear cut. Hero has to win a 3-way all-in here to get 3rd, the BB is obviously calling. The problem is if Hero folds then the Button wins somewhere between 60-65% of the time against BB's random two, and Hero is left on dead row, having to either pray the current button does something stupid in his BB, he gets a hand in the next two, or his own BB hand holds up somehow. What the chances of that are I don't know, but probably somewhere around 20%, but even then a double up and he still doesn't cover the blind that's looming.

I really don't know the answer here, it's a crappy situation.

I'd call. C has a better than average hand here and if he doubles up here you are in huge trouble. There is a huge chance your AK the best hand even when BB comes along.

Id rather not give C a 55-60% chance to double up.

i call happily but don't know the math or if it's the right play. basically if you call and win you triple up. i'd say you're probably 50% here to triple up. looks good to me.

I agree, and I may do the math after I get home tonight if nobody else has.

Everyone else has managed to reply without it, buy in has virtually nothing to do with it.

Yeah, I already flamed myself in my edit. My bad. But let's just try to be consistent.
