Default QQ re-reraise pf...

NL isn't my normal game, was just messing around last night clearing the Party bonus -- what do you think of this:

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, ($25) (9 handed) converter

UTG+1 ($41.12)
MP1 ($7)
MP2 ($31.65)
MP3 ($23.5)
CO ($4.9)
Button ($48.05)
SB ($21.9)
BB ($26.1)
Hero ($89.13)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $0.85</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, MP2 calls $0.85, <font color="#CC3333">MP3 raises to $3</font>, <font color="#666666">4 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $7</font>... planning to fold to a push.

I don't like 3 betting with QQ.

It folds JJ, TT, AK, and gets KK/AA to call.

if you are against maniac and he pushes AK, you fold best hand.

the best thing to do in this case is to assign a range to villains hand and call it or fold it depending on what that range is.

I figured I'd be losing more than the $4 I put in there on the flop if there wasn't an A or K, as i'd almost assuredly have to put a bet or check-raise in, and JJ-TT may push back.

I also wanted the 3rd guy out... I guess i'm thinking more limit-like.

Thanks,

if he pushes, then you've lost the opportunity to flop a Q and bust him. just call his reraise and play some poker post-flop.

reraise with QQ not the best way to play it. being out of position even compounds the situation.

people usually don't reraise unless they have KK or AA or maybe AK to try and pick up the pot, unless you have any additional information on the raiser, I would usually call and try to hit my set if the price is right. I would also bet the flop if my QQ was an over pair to test the pf raiser. if the pf reraiser plays strong again...usually he's got aa or kk. (unless you have other information indicating otherwise)

Just call the $3 raise and evaluate on the flop.
