If villain thinks diablo is bluffing, lets let him call off his whole stack. If villain has a lower fh/jt we stack him anyway.

The opponent acted first and checked, making it not impossible but less likely he has a big hand he is willing to stack with. And a further benefit of a smaller bet besides being more likely to be called by a worse hand, is that occasionally it might be read as a bluff itself and get raised.

Yeah, I like throwing 720-1000 out there again. Might get a call from K9, A9, TT, JJ, KQ, QJ, 10J something like that. If he does have a boat for some reason he'll likely get it all in anyway.

720 is also small enough he could think about bluffing all in as well.

I just don't see him having more than one pair the way he played it.

Bet as much as you do when you have AK clubs in the same spot. Whatever amount this is, that imo is the correct amount.

in my experience some players are more willing to call huge bets on the river rather than 1/2 pot bets because the latter looks too much like a value bet that wants to get called because it's "setting them a good price".

on ub, i'd just click the "bet pot" button one more time.

I pushed, which was a slight overbet (100 or 200 more than pot). Villain called relatively quickly w/ KK. For reasoning, read lapoker's second post.

Good push, but I just dont think villan is getting away from his hand any way you play it. If you bet flop, isnt he CRing you? Isnt that why he smooth called preflop with KK?

The question is, what hands other than what he had would he have called the river with after callin a turn raise, and for how much.

Or... What hands is he calling 1/2 pot with on the river, and why? Which of those hands is he not calling the rest with?

That is irrelevant to this discussion, since I did not know he had KK until after he called. Had he been kind enough to show me KK earlier, I would have played the hand differently.
