Even though it was still fairly early in the tourny (Level 2) I had seen the CO make a few questionable plays. He had made a 6 x BB preflop raise with Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] a few hands earlier, and had tried to bully a couple of other players off a pot in another.

Well that's my excuse anyway, and I'm sticking to it. [img]/images/graemlins/smirk.gif[/img]

Would anybody play this hand differently? If so, why?

I wouldn't have played it at all. The limp is questionnable, and calling the CO raise is a definate no for me, regardless that he did it a few hands ago with Q6s.

This is very similar to this thread.

Hands like lead you in to serious trouble when you hit a pair. Your out of position, you've got kicker trouble, you don't know where you stand. Just fold it preflop - especially to such a large raise - and wait for a better time to take the bluffers money.

I won't comment on the later betting rounds because I'd try never to get in this situation.

I wouldn't have called the pre-flop raise. Weak flop bet, I would have made it about 300, rest was fine IMO.

Your link doesn't work, but i have a strong feeling I know what thread your refering to.

I'm actually waiting for ddubois to rip me a new one because I gave him a hard time with his play in a similiar situation.(suited connectors vs preflop raiser with position)

I agree, it was a stupid play to call the addition t150. I also agree it was questionable to throw out more chips on the flop.

I should put more emphasis in following the whole "people that live in glass houses...." adage.

Hmmm. If he proved himself to be a maniac it's still questionable. I would lay low and wait or him ot get really deep into me with a monster.

I don't know how relevant this is, but one difference between our situations is that a PFRer is signifigantly more likely to have a Q than a T. On the other hand, a PFR is slightly more likely to have an overpair to a T than a Q. I don't know if that makes your hand stronger (but more vulnerable to draws to overs of course), or is an inconsequential factoid.
