Default Transition from PP 20 to PS 25turbo

I am a consistent 20%ROI at the PP 20's.

With the new VIP program want to make the switch to PS turbos.

Has anyone made the transition with success?

I have been playing the turbos for the last 4 days and getting absolutely killed?

Seems the difference is you are in the push/fold mode a lot sooner, but then when you get to 3 you are no longer push fold then you have chips to play poker.

Have been getting a lot of 5th places when my pushes are failing consistently.

Would be interested in hearing from anyone who has made the transition with success

Dude, move IMMEDIATELY down 1 or 2 limits. I've lost ALOT playing those $25 turbos, and I am a strong money winner at 30s on party. They are just much tougher IMO, period.

I would suggeststarting with the $16 turbos -- they are more comparable to the $22s at PP in skill level. Not just from my experience (which is limited) but from my reading of the posts in this forum.

As a side note, I'd be interested in a detailed comparison of blind vs average chip stacks in PP and PS turbos. Some quantification of the differences. My own take is that the blind levels change more quickly (fewer deals per level) in the early stages of a PS turbo, but that sort of just takes you toward a typical PP stack:blind ratio. I think that the level lengths even out (or are longer at PS) when you get to 3-5 handed. The almost repeat of a blind level (100/200 to 100/200 a25) does slow things down at PS a bit.

I also agree with you that there are often times when tight earlyplayers find themselves in push/fold at the 75/150 level at PS. If you are successful at this stage, either through blind stealing or doubling up, you'll often find yourself with >2000 chips and will be able "play poker" at the 100/200 levels. At PP, you may slip towards 500 chips, find yourself in push/fold mode when the blinds hit 50/100 and a double up barely gets you out of push/fold mode (or only temporarily as the blinds move to 75/150).
