I prefer SoCal because the games are soft.

Vegas. Lower rake. Plus, I like to play shorthanded which is more feasible in Vegas.

Also, all of the nice rooms in Vegas have no jackpot, which I think is a plus.

I just got back from vegas, and although I had a losing experience, I have to say that I would prefer to play in vegas. Simply because the majority of people who play in vegas are there to gamble, they have a set amount of money and are willing to take chances with that money. In the long run these players will pay you off!!! Ca casinos are so full of rocks, lags, and old women that are doing poker to suplement their retirement checks. And while I found an old lady or 2 in vegas rooms while their husbands pissed off money at craps, they are more dominant in local ca casinos.

for middle limits (20/40 - 80/160) the vegas games are much softer and less aggressive and its not particularly close.
