Default 10 10 on button vs weak player\'s UTG raise

Live £30 ($60) rebuy tournament at the Victoria Casino in London. About 40 runners left and the rebuy period is over. Clock is 20 mins and blinds are 100-200 (they will soon go to 200-400). No precise info on av stack but i guess im just a little above average with t4,000.

Table is a very mixed bag - a few solid players and a few weak first timers at a live game.

Villain (nice, polite guy and one of those 1st timers) is probably the weakest player at the table. I've seen him call all in raises with AJ off and 22. He has also just doubled up after calling a raise with A7 against my QQ and after i put him all in on an 7 high flop and he turned a 7.

So to the hand. Villain has t3000 and raises UTG to 700. Folds to me on the button. I wake up with 10 10 and ponder the possibilities. I put him on a wide range of hands - any pair, any two broadway and any suited ace. I also have to consider the BB, who has called raises from that position with a wide range of hands.

Given the speed of the tournament and my info on the player, what's my action here?

im passing here,if you think the bb might also call,TT aint a great hand 3 way.And i wouldn't want to push and gamble with Villain, you still have time to wait and out play this guy.

I'll be honest, I didn't give much consideration to laying it down given the range of hands he could be playing. That just seems really weak/tight.

I accept its no monster, but these hands in position against a weak flop player just don't come along enough to pass in a tournament that fast.

I felt my options were call or raise. I went for the raise to isolate...

Am i too laggy here?

When the blinds go up you will have ~10XBB. I don't think you have the luxury of passing on a hand as good as TT.

In the examples you gave hero was calling (not leading) with loose holdings. This works to your advantage because villain is likely to call you down with the 2nd best hand. There is no reason to believe that your TT is not the best hand, although I would be cautious because he is a first timer and he is leading UTG.

I would raise to T1,600:

a) to discourage SB, and BB from entering the pot.
b) for information. I would call a push. I would expect a call, with two big cards.

against a normal player, i would call so i could use position, but if this guy is going to raise-call with 22, there's no reason not to push here.

folding would be super bad.
