2/4 KK Ace falls on river.
Empire 400NL full ring. Villain (27/7/4) has $430, I have him covered. He is a tricky player but a losing one over the 550 hands I have with him. I just saw him lose half a stack on another table when he semi bluffed all-in with the A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] on a 3 heart board and AA called him. I have also seen him put all his chips in before over the top of raises with as little as an OESD. He's basically a quasi-lag that likes to bluff.
I get K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in EMP UTG limps, 1 fold, I raise to $20. 2 folds, Villain raises to $55. All fold to me and I call. Flop is 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I check, he checks. Turn is 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I check, he bets $100, I call. I did this because I wanted to get some money from QQ/AK, which will very likely bet here. Should I raise this all-in? What should be my plan for the river if a rag falls? River is A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I check, He pushes for $275 or so. I fold. Ryan |

Re: 2/4 KK Ace falls on river.
Since he likes to bluff-raise and you showed weakness on the flop, do you ever lead the turn?
I need to think about the river decision a little more... Marlow |

Re: 2/4 KK Ace falls on river.
i like leading the flop at him. barring that, put it in on the turn for sure.

Re: 2/4 KK Ace falls on river.
If you lead the flop at him and he raises, do you dump it, possibly losing to QQ?

Re: 2/4 KK Ace falls on river.
I don't think you're likely to get that much more from him when he has AK if you just call the turn and a rag falls on the river, unless its a K.
Lead the flop with a 1/2 pot bet, push-allin over his probable raise. Or, better yet, lead the flop, call his raise, then check-raise all-in on the turn (I think this is a better line if he has AK). edit: I'm sorry, I didn't realize what forum I'm in, feel free to disregard this advice as I only play 100 and 200 NL |

Check-raise the turn all-in.
However, I dont understand what he might have that would check that flop. |

Re: 2/4 KK Ace falls on river.
i am assuming the flop line is a whiffed all in check raise, and since we whiffed you must lead the turn, give him a chanve to make a real mistake, since u didnt i am coming over the top all in on the turn. river.....huh, it sure feels like he had qq or jj with the flop check, but i dont know why he is going nuclear on an ace river without it; unless he flopped a set and that is why he checked, now he hopes the ace helped u. anyway, i think a fold is in order. fwiw i made a bad river laydown to a maniac at 400 NL tonight, and got it all back 3 fold by exploiting him later on, so i dont really hate folding to idiots b/c they usually give u plenty more shots at the money.

Re: 2/4 KK Ace falls on river.
Why not re-raise to about $150 Pre-flop?
If he's really a LAG who will come back over the top on a bluff, I think I lead at the flop and if he plays back, then push. |
