Default Party 10/20: I suck bad

Party 10/20. Full ring.

My image is TAG, w/ perhaps a bit more emphasis on the aggro than the tight. Villain seems reasonable, I've reraised his preflop bets several times, always with the goods, and he's laid down to my continuation bets on the flop each time.

MP minraises, villain calls in LP, I make it $200 on the button w/ AA. MP folds, button calls. I cover.

Flop is Q85r. Villain checks, I check.

Turn is an offsuit 6. Villain bets $175, I make it $399. Villain calls.

River is a J. Villain checks, I check.

(Assuming 2k effective stacks)
I dont understand the flop check, is it to entice him to bet turn ?? If you've been continuation betting often then doesnt the check look suspicious?
Also If youve only only been showing down the goods then i think the river check is good, otherwise i think it loses value,Does villain get tricky often???
I have trouble putting villain on anything other than a slowplayed set.
Maybe KK or TT, both seemingly unlikely. Would he call ur raise with AQ pf?

Stack sizes?

Assuming 100BB each...

Bet the flop. Raise more on the turn.

With the given action, the stack sizes are a little awkward for a bet/fold to a raise line on the river, but I think I still use it.

Bet $700 or so, and fold to a raise. If you think this bet will induce a re-raise, then checking behind is probably better. I think that your line is representing a monster, so I doubt you ever get c/r bluffed on the end here.

I'm so confused about the check on the flop, what was it accomplishing? Bet flop, bet turn, check check river. Are you thinking that since he always folds to your continuation bet that you don't want him to fold and you want action? I just don't like giving free cards.

if you check the flop, pretend the river is the turn, the pot size is managable so get paid off
