[the hidden] was one of the most fun films ever... [/ QUOTE ] Heh. I was gonna review this some time soon as I felt it deserved some recognition. But I don't need to now I guess I'll do my other 'needs to be seen by more' choices - 'The Prophecy' next probly... |

I also want to add John Woo's The Killer and Hard Boiled...pure bliss of the action movie world. [/ QUOTE ] Was scanning the thread to see if anyone mentioned these, these are must-haves. Other classic action films are Lethal Weapon I and II, and Die Hard. Some good westerns have already been mentioned, I'll throw in The Long Riders. |

I guess I'll do my other 'needs to be seen by more' choices - 'The Prophecy' next probly... [/ QUOTE ] Is this the one with Christopher Walken, or the one from the 70s with (I think) Talia Shire? I'll have to check out this "The Hidden" sounds really cool. |

Re: Based on my DVD collection... What am I missing?
Prophecy was at 70s one with Talia Shire about a mutant bear I think - that isn't the one I meant. This one was pants. Not just pants, but grey, fraying, old man, contains-all-available-specimens-for-medical-testing pants.
The Prophecy (80s or 90s) has Christopher Walken as the archangel Gabriel. It's fan-bloody-tastic. I'll review it sometime soon. |

Re: Based on my DVD collection... What am I missing?
I know one response mentioned Pacino movies so let me suggest a few specifics:
A Dog Day Afternoon Serpico Donnie Brasco Carlito's Way. Very few mentioned Eastwood movies. Pretty much his entire catalog is worth having, particularly: The Outlaw Josey Wales Unforgiven Where Eagles Dare The Dirty Harry movies - esp. the first two. Swede |
