Default Deep stacks and preflop raises

I play 25NL (yes, still. some might remember my post about contemplating a move to the 50 but i'm holding off for now... too much fun) and i often find myself with a stack of 300 BB or more. Does anyone increase the size of their preflop raise when playing with a deep stack? Or is it best to make the same bet regardless of how deep you are (4BB + 1BB/limper for me)? Im asking becasue it seems like it may be possible to make more money by getting opponents to invest more preflop. it would be easier for them to become pot comitted when they call raises/bet into your big hands. you would also make more with every continuation bet that takes down a pot.
maybe something like 8BB + 1BB/limper?
would this require one to play tighter than usual? bad idea altogether?

If they still have a normal stack, it doesn't matter, stay with the normal 4xBB preflop raise.

Make the move of honor. It works everytime. But if you decide to be a chicken [censored], then just raise normally, or leave and rejoin with a normal stack.

I see no reason to increase the initial raise. If you reraise another big stack though, you can sometimes makes a little larger reraise than otherwise.

so unless another big stack is already in the hand you think its best just to continue raising as usual?

did any of my reasoning for trying this make sense?
