Re: Inspiron 9300 Questions - Help Appreciated
yes yes yes. and again yes.
My Inspiron 5100 only does 1400x1050 on the laptop screen. If I plug in an extra monitor that can do 1600x1200 it automatically allows for that. My new monitor can go as high as 2200x1200 or something ridiculous like that (it's REALLY REALLY tiny) and the dell itself does not accomodate the various graphics settings...that's where I need the VillageTronic card. But 1600x1200 is NOT a problem for the external monitor at all even though the laptop screen itself only does 1400x1050. |

Re: Inspiron 9300 Questions - Help Appreciated
[ QUOTE ]
So I was recently about to purchase myself a 9300 and either 1 or 2 2001FP's for some 8-tabling before stumbling across a recent (pleasant) surprise. I just received an Inspiron 9300 as an unexpected gift from a relative (long story). It's quite a nice machine, but theres a couple problems: -The included hard drive is the standard 40gb hard drive - I've heard the 7200rpm one is quite a major improvement. -The display is not the WUXGA with truelife display, its just the standard widescreen XGA+ display. [/ QUOTE ] I have the Inspiron 9300 with WUXGA... Were you attempting to 8 table on the laptop? You can't, even with WUXGA. You will see 4 tables, no overlap, with a few inches leftover on the sides with your res set at highest available (1920 x 1200)... |

Bob and JR-
Thanks so much. My apologies for the repetitive and probably amateurish questions. I'm relieved now. Thanks again for making 2+2 such a nice community . -Todd |
