Default 2/4 6-max - II think I played JJ too passively here

$550 stack sizes. Villain's been playing pretty loose but nothing out of line.

Preflop:
I have J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in the BB. Villain raises to $15. I re-raise to $47. Villain calls.

Flop ($94):
6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
I bet $35. He raises to $70. I call.

Turn ($234):
4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
I check. He bets $125. I call.

River ($480):
8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
I bet $150. He goes all-in for $430 total. I fold.

I'm unsure about all 3 streets. Thanks.

I think your only trouble here is not making a decision on whether your hand is best early enough. Your re-raise PF certainly should look to Villain like you have a big hand, but he raises you on the flop. That should set off alarm bells and you should make your decision right there to fold or get it all in.

I'm thinking you are dead, but realistically he could have 99,TT,JJ,QQ,KK,AA here and take the same line, not to mention a lower set. Lots of hands that kill you.

Let me also note that your flop bet was very weak and looks like overcards, and a good opponent reading you for weakness can push you off the hand holding any two cards. Bet more on the flop.

If he isn't getting too terribly out of line, I might lay down on the flop. He felt his hand was big enough to call your pre-flop raise and then raise you on the flop.

If you felt your hand was good pre-flop and on the flop, then it is probably still good on the river. In that situation, I may call the river bet. My opponent would have to be pretty loose-aggressive and I would have wanted to see a couple of bluffs first.
