Default WSOP $11 quadruple shootout at PStars -- registration open

I just noticed this tournament beginning at 21:00 ET today. 216 tables of 6, then 36 tables of 6, then 6 tables of 6, then the final table. Winner gets WSOP package including main event seat, $1K cash, 9 nights' hotel stay. Buyin is $10+1.

Registration is capped at 1296. I imagine it will fill up, but as of now (four hours before start time) there are only 440 registered.

Tomorrow at 21:00 ET they have a $22+2 triple shootout. Registration for that will begin 24 hours ahead of time.

Incredibly nice format. Look at price structure, quite a few rebates will probably be handed out.

Three hours left, 555 entrants.

For $11, all you have to do is beat 20 players and you'll have a WSOP seat!

Hi all -
Yeah, I think this is going to be a lot of fun. I don't, however, expect a "lot" of rebates. Note that the seat is worth $11K and a full tournament (which I expect it to be) produces $12,960 in buyins. So that just leaves $1960 in money to rebate. A full tournament means that five of the final table players will get $392 each, and the sixth will be off to Vegas to win the WSOP.

Anyway, it's tournament #7930333, and we'd love to see you out there.

Best regards,
Lee Jones

Still...$392 is more than the $160 you get back for making the final-table of the DS.

I told Ali, "Hey...I'm just happy to be getting my $160 back. Woo-hoo!!!"

Little did I know that I would be getting a bit more than that.

The triple and quad shootouts look like a ton-o-fun too.
Not sure if I'll be available for this one but I'll probably play in a couple of these.

I suspect there will be PLENTY of weak 6-max SNG players in these.

Almost 600 players registered with 2:40 to go before the event starts. Looks pretty darned popular to me.

I joined in. Glad I saw this post, $160 is a little steep to me for the double shootouts cause my S+G game is nothing special but at least better than my multi, but I'd gladly play a $10 one every single day for fun.

Hi Jurollo -
If you've already won a seat on Empire, please do not play in the quad shootout (or any other WSOP satellite) on PokerStars. Our rules are quite specific that you have to play the first seat that you win on our site. Specifically, please see item #10 on this web page:

PokerStars WSOP Satellite Terms and Conditions

I'm pretty sure that Empire has a similar rule, so you'd find yourself forfeiting a WSOP seat if you win a seat on PokerStars - I doubt you want that.

Best regards,
Lee Jones
