I'm the kid in the hand. I always get comments/looks etc because i look so young, but you push too far. It almost seems like malice is intended.

Anyway, onto the hand. Your cold cap was very scary. I think you have to bet this turn because it forces me to face the prospect of having to call 2 big bets to see a showdown.

Hope this post dies

The young man in question is an absolute star! It's as simple as that. Anyone who has ever gotten to know him, even a little, considers him to be a champion.

As for the hand in question, I am a muppet compared to most of you players, but I would bet the turn. You can't rule out a check-raise on the turn though, so I can understand the turn check with position.

The question I'm interested in getting an answer to is:
- If sb donk bets river, do you call with A high?

To my (simple) logic, it seems like you either have to bet turn or call donked river - one or the other.

"If sb donk bets river, do you call with A high?"

Often enough, when you check behind on the turn, an opponent will bet into you on the river light. So I feel I have to look some of these opponents up on the river to keep them "honest."

To counteract this, I sometimes will check a good hand on the river and then either call or raise their donk river bet.

Sorry Mike, no malice intended. I apologize, though, since you felt there was.

Thanks for the response! I agree with your assessment, but didn't have a good enough read on you at the time to know whether you'd be calling me down with something like the holding you had.
