Am I playing these right?
I am getting frustrated, to the point of wanting to give up the game for a while. After 12k hands of 3/6 SH I have a wopping winrate of .23BB/100 hands. I am trying not to whine too much, but I am feeling lost on so many hands right now.

Re: Am I playing these right?
Hand 1: I might not complete this in the sb @ 3/6. Rest of the hand looks fine
Hand 2: Fine Hand 3: I call the flop and turn, and fold the river to a bet. I don't think any hand you beat bets the river if you take that line |

Re: Am I playing these right?
I bet out on the flop in hand #1.
Hand #2 looks alright. Just call down #3. He could be taking a stab at the pot, so let him keep bluffing. Otherwise, let him keep betting made hands. Often he'll have an Ace. |

Re: Am I playing these right?
Hand 1: I'd Bet-3bet the flop and go from there. If he caps you can call down or if he's very passive predictable c/f the turn unimproved. As such I think you have to bet the river for value. any pair is calling you.
Hand 2: Reasonable. Sometimes you can bet the river for value but it's hard to imagine him callign with a worse hand. Hand 3: Fine, whatever. |

Re: Am I playing these right?
Hand 1: I lead the flop. You'd have to be pretty sure that there would be a late position bet to try a checkraise here. Your hand is vulnerable to a lot of overcards here. With only three people in this pot, I bet out. If there are more people in the pot I would like your checkraise better as you get to see the action behind you and you can also face the field with two cold from a late position better. With only three people here, I would lead.
If you led the flop and were called on the flop and again on the turn, I would bet the river. That way you get called by worse hands whereas if you check call in that situation you might induce a bluff but it is more likely that it will get checked behind, or, if it is bet, you will be calling with a second best hand. Hand 2: I like it. Hand 3: I don't think this is that bad here and it is also a play I typically make. I don't think you get a weak ace to fold however so it would be more profitable I believe to take a call/call/call(?) line with the river being read dependent. I would hardly ever fold to a river bet here, though (as mentioned in a previous post) as this person would probably continue betting a hand like KJ here on this river since you did not raise (it makes it appear as if you can't beat a pair of Aces). I like the the way the other two hands were played. PS: Nice meeting you on the PPM IV cruise. Are you planning for it the coming year? PM did not work for me for some reason. |

Re: Am I playing these right?
I've had them not work for a couple people. I'm planning on trying but I went throuhg a nasty stretch of bad play/badluck and I'm still recovering. I'm definietly planning on hitting the sattelites hard though. You?
Also, I do agree that he should shold PF. I forget sometimes about the 1/3 blind structure at 3/6. |

Re: Am I playing these right?
River value bets in #1 and #2 should be automatic IMO. Don't forget, in SH people call you down a lot more liberally, so you need to bet your made hands AGGRESSIVELY!
