When you know you will be called allin
Party 1st step, 5 left. Blinds 350/600 Stack sizes: Me 3650, Next guy 4500, Opp 7000-ish, next guy 2800-ish, next guy around 1000.
Opp is PO'ed because I open raised PF with Ac5c. Made her (?) fold an AT, she(?) said, and called BS on me. So, last 4 times it's been my blind she's gone all in pf, and I have stuff like 8 3 to defend with. Basically, if I bet I'm going to have to go all in, knowing that she will call with anything. I can't wait for the short stack to blind out, because she's feeding him chips at every chance. Go all in w/ KJ offsuit ? Regards Gar |

4 seats I take it?
I'd wait. If I were SB to Opp's BB maybe, but with 2nd big stack in between, I wait. The two shorter stacks may make a move and bust themselves out. And even tho Opp is feeding chips to short-stack, there is a player in between them also that may wake up with a hand. |

Re: When you know you will be called allin
Autofold here. It's lunacy to tangle with a big stack here, even if he is on tilt. You can fold your way into the money with relative ease because the short stack will be putting 90% of his money in on the blinds! And even if the tilted big stack keeps "feeding him chips," there's still someone else who's shorter than you.
I don't think I call with anything other than AA or KK here. |

Re: When you know you will be called allin
I poped in on a step3 with 5 players to go one day , just to check out the bubble play. I was horrified at what I saw.
About as close as I recall.. 5 players UTG healty stack UTG +1 .5 BB ( just lost a huge pot) UTG +2 healty stack SB 2nd in chips by far BB leader by 2-1 over second folded to the SB raises 4xbb , BB insta pushes SB calls with AKos ???????????????????? BB has Q9s hits a Q. SB went into a rant, lol.... .5 bb player advances.... Moral of the story, these guys make so many bubble Sat. mistakes , that at this point you can sit back and let them do thier thing. You will advance. |

Great example of knowing when to choose your battles, don't let emotions towards a certain player allow you to change your strategy, because thats what they want!!

Re: When you know you will be called allin
Similarly, I was playing in the 'Stars $3R satellite to the $215 tournament because I heard it was soft. 36 spots paid, 1-35 got the $215 seat, 36 got something like $100.
We're down to 37, and I'm sweating some other tables because I have something like 6x BB and I know I can fold my way into the money. On one table, UTG pushes for 3x the BB. Big stack UTG+2 calls. Tiny, tiny stack in MP (he just anted, not blinded, half his stack) calls (!!!). Button (chip leader) pushes. UTG+2 calls (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). UTG: J6o (!!) UTG+2: TT Tiny MP: A5o Button: QQ QQ held up, and UTG+2 lucked out by having the other two chumps covered. |
