Default QQ autocall?

Read on Villian: All in or fold mode since level 1. Nobody has called him, so no idea of his open-pushing range from any position. He's pushed about 6-8 hands, mostly from LP, in around 50 opportunities. Fairly tight, I'd guess, based on frequency. He just pushed the last hand with multiple limpers, they all folded

Position: He's 3 to my right. I'm on the button

Stack sizes: I have about 850-ish left out of 1000, he has me covered.

Situation this hand: I have QQ, 4 limpers and he pushes.

Blinds:25/50

I would have pushed, had it come around to me. Calling seems reasonable.

Doesn't it?

Do you assume that if a person pushess, say, 15% of the hands he's dealt that he's only pushing the top 15% of the possible combinations? I think QQ is ahead of that range...AA-TT, AKs-ATs, KQs-KTs, QJs, QTs, AK.

Related question...Does anyone have a calculator for figuring win% of a specific hand against a 'Top X%' range of hands?

Regards

Gar

I think that since he just pushed the hand before that his range is probably tightened up a little from what you quoted (since he knows he's pissing people off), but nonetheless I think this is a profitable call with this type of player. Even if his range for this particular push is just AA-TT, AK-KQ it is still better odds than a coinflip by a decent amount.

There are two factors at play here.

1. Pusher is a complete maniac if he's been pushing that many hands and is....
2. Looking to accumulate chips early in what will probably turn out to be a very long tournament.

Based on the range of hands that he has been pushing, I'd say that you are ahead a vast majority of them, although I don't have exact stats, and I'd say that, because of #2, this would be an autocall. I think it's more than worth the risk this early in a tournament.

I think it's a call. The application you're looking for is pokerstove. Do a google search to find it.

You need to call here. His range may have tightened up but that doesn't mean he has AA, KK or AK. He could make this move with JJ-TT or AQ-AT. He may even try it with lower pairs considering he's never been called.

Very easy call considering villain's betting patterns. Are you going to wait until AA or KK to fight back?
