Turning Stone vs Mohegan Sun
I have a question, it would take me about 2 hours to drive to turning stone, or about 3 for Mohegan Sun. Which would be better to go to for low limit hold em 3/6, 5/10 and why?

Re: Turning Stone vs Mohegan Sun
I can't help you with Turning Stone, but the 3/6 at Mohegan is pretty much loose-passive, and the 5/10 has a kill at $65, so it plays more like 10/20 with small blinds. However, it's only another 15 minutes or so to Foxwoods, where they have a decent 4/8 game, and their 5/10 has a kill at $100, so it plays more like a pure 5/10 than Mohegan. Plus FW has many more tables and if you want to stay low-limit, they have a 2/4.
Oh, yeah, Mohegan also spreads a 2/4 Omaha8. |

Re: Turning Stone vs Mohegan Sun
I agree with KurnsonofMogh, you should think about Foxwoods. There are almost always multiple 2/4, 4/8, and 5/10 with a kill games going. Mohegan almost always has a 3/6 game, but I've been there a couple of times in the last month when the 5/10 game wasn't going. The lack of games there usually leads to a much longer wait for a seat than at Foxwoods.
After finally visiting Vegas I'm convinced that Foxwoods is as a good a place as there is in the country for low to mid limit hold'em. |
