Default Very quick flop...

Fixed my post: it's HU

6-handed 3/6 at Prima

unknown CO limps, others fold, I check my option with K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Flop is A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I bet, CO raises, what do I do?

I let it go but it felt kinda bad for image considerations.

yes, fold

The guy probably has a 2 or a PP, or he may even be the type to fastplay his aces. It really doesn't hurt your image enough to worry about. Besides, next time you will have A8, and that guy will sure feel like a moron doing that again.

Flop is 3way?

I dont bet this flop unless i have solid reads.

The way you played it, you gotta fold really. Your either screwed by an ace(least likly) or raised by a PP or just bluffed

I bet out on paired boards with nothing a fair bit. Certainly not every time b/c people will pick up on it. You would be amazed how often you pick up the pot right there. It's pretty easy to get away from if you are called as well.

especially since there is a good chance he has the best hand here

check/fold the flop. seing as you bet, then it's bet/fold. I don't think this has much to do with image. If so, then perhaps it will pay off when you have a hand that crushes button.

What makes you think having an Ace is least likely? Don't you think the CO could have limped in with A5-?

You're probably right as i tend to fold paired boards alot thinking "if they got trips im screwed and the pots small so feck it". Something i may consider abusing more of now.

As you say not to much as i tend to watch paired boards for a read like this.

ITALIAN - Ace is least likly as there are 2 on the flop, i think this reduces the chance of it in his hand as there are only 2 out. Just saying its least likly not impossible or to be left out of consideration.

I forget the term used, Card distribution? Maybe i've misinterpretted a concept on this topic.

There are 8 combinations of Ax. If he limps all the way up to A6, that is about 40 combinations. If he limps 22-77, that is 36 combinations. So roughly half the time we have 0 outs, and half the time we have 6 outs (when we are behind). It doesn't matter though, because he isn't bluffing nearly enough to offset these.

I see why you would say it is least likely. CO could also be reading this as a check on the BB leaves the BB least likely to have a PP or Ax. Therefore, even if the CO is bluffing, the BB is probably drawing dead.
