Without glossing over David's amusing aside, I have to reply to daryn's assertion that the modifier be -2 for a woman playing poker.

Perhaps for you that is the case, but not for a majority of poker playing guys, as I've seen it time and time again at Foxwoods (and, to prove I am utilizing a large sample size, I will say [lie, I mean] that I am basing this on over 100,000 seperate sessions) whenever a completely average (5) woman walks into the room, heads turn.

This woman wouldn't get a second look anywhere else -- in the poker room, here come the comments.

Make her 20-something (hell, 30-something) with a reasonable figure (6'ish) and men are nudging each other.

Make her Erin Ness where she's cute and fit with a decent rack (of chips in front of her! get your minds out of the gutter!) and necks are getting contorted, whistles are produced, and winks and nods of "Yeah, I'd do her" are displayed by men who would RUN if someone like Erin even smiled at them, let alone said word one to them.

Hence... I have to stick with the +2 modifier. If Erin were pushing a double-decker stroller, though, she'd be back down to her rightful 7'ish (6.5 rounded up, fine).

you know why this is right? it has nothing to do with the woman. have you ever looked at the guys in a poker room? they are all fat and ugly and can't get girls. it's no wonder when an avg. looking woman walks in they all go crazy.
