Default 200 NL 6max Deep stack question

I was playing 6max, and I was getting more action from shorter and bigger stacks on two of my tables when I had 200 or less, and i never got ANY on the tables I was 300+
Now I know this was only one night and it could obviously be variance or whatever but
my question: do people tend to respect larger stacks at the table more than small stacks? would it ever be good to push+ do the double up trick thingy (on stars) only to get a big stack? (I know this is good so you can stack big stacks) but for image ONLY?

ALSO, is it good to come into tables with shortstack??

Loose as hell w/ 400$ stack and loose w/ 80$?
thoughts?
