Default Book Club - Harrington on Hold\'em

One last post to see if we can get a discussion going.

Max:

Why isn't that discussion done here? We've spent much time and effort to build our site. Do you think it is fair for someone to come here and try to move the discussion to another site?

Max, Mason has a valid point .
Besides its common sense in my opinion.
Start the discussion where it properly belongs and you`ll get responses much more then traveling to another site.

Mason's point was that its wrong to come HERE, to take people to your site for a discussion. Reguardless of the SUBJECT(however it is very rude to do this when its a 2+2 book). Next time buy a banner ad if you want traffic on your SITE.

PS: Its time to hijack this thread. Look.... I can write just like Brunson, can I be one of the authors for SS3?

I'm all for having it here, but when I asked when the discussion here would begin, no one had a reply.

There was a post in December saying the discussion would begin in January. It didn't. I'm new to the board so I really don't think it's my place to start the discussion, but the bottom-line is, someone has to.

Say, how about you?

Hi UTG:

I remember reading a post around then saying that since the book had just come out no one had enough time to read it yet. So the discussion was put delayed.

best wishes,
Mason

So I'll take that to mean you believe there will be a disucssion here at some point.

Frankly, that's what I would prefer, but wouldn't you agree that there should be enough people who've read the book by now to begin the discussion?

March is just around the corner and volume II comes out around May. Let's get going.

Overall, it's probably better if it's here, just because of the traffic it will recieve, not to mention more attention from the authors. But that sure is cool what they've done at the site. A whole forum dedicated to HOH, with sub-forums dedicated to each chapter. If populated, it would be a very valuable companion reference when reading the book (and also a great promotional tool). Compare this to have to use the clumsy search tool we have here, and having humongous threads that are difficult to navigate. I wish 2+2 would consider having such a dedicated forum structure for their own books.

I second the request for individual forums for each book. It would make looking for past info or questions about a said book a hell of a lot easier.
