Default 2/5 NL at the Borg, or why I can\'t play against women.

Hero has about $375, Villain has him covered. Villain has not shown down any of her hands but appears to play fairly straightforward, but with a tendency to overplay suited hands.

3 callers, around to Hero in the SB who completes with 79 offsuit, flop is 79Q. Hero leads out 15, Villain (UTG) raises to 30, Hero re-raises to 60, Villain calls. Turn is the 10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], bringing two hearts on board. Hero bets 65, Villain calls. River is the ace of hearts, and there is literally no time between when Hero says "I'll check" to Villain saying "all-in."

Hero folds. 250 in the pot and 250 to call...I think you're most likely behind a better 2 pair here. A "straightforward" player has you beat.

"Hero leads out 15, Villain (UTG) raises to 30, Hero re-raises to 60"

Make it 90.

Kaz is corect there are about a zillion cards you fear on the turn...but you are probably ahead here so push yu 2 pair harder and dont build a pot with such a susceptible hand.

Here's a link to a bottom-two hand I played a week ago. I found the discussion useful, and I think it's relevant here.

Doesnt seem like the villain is intent on playing a smaller pot....it takes 2 to tango and I think he most likely has the best hand here...but CANT AFFORD TO GIVE A FREEE CARD.

very true.. but it seems hero is not comfortable playing too big a pot. he reraises to 60 on the flop, pots gotta be about 150 on the turn and he bets 65?? if you dont follow up with a real bet here people will push you off hands.

the other case is reraising to 90, pot is 200 on turn, and hero has 280 behind. are you gonna push? if you throw a blocking bet and villian pushes? do you want to play for your stack with bottom two in unraised pot? i usually dont
