I have a 55" DLP and I paid a little over 3k for it when it first came out but it was worth every penny!

I love this tv and wouldnt trade it for anything.

Plasma will go the way of the laserdisc.

I also heard (and these may not be true) with Plasma you need to deal with screen burn in and you need to refill the plasma ?!?

The next biggest size is 67" and it's MSRP is $1,400 more [img]/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img]

Dude, you got a nice setup there, and even a wussy surge protector is better than nothing at all.

I'd go with something like this (if you aren't looking to spend much)

surge protector that seems to be pretty decent. Also has a $50,000 guarantee...check it out.
