D-ILA is jvc's implementation of LCoS. LCoS is teed up to become 'the next big thing' in televisions, but jvc televisions do not have a legacy of reliability and the technology is absolutely new. it was available when i purchased as well. looking at sets side-by-side, i was not at all convinced that it was superior enough to risk getting a lemon.
