Egyptian Chips = Ugly?

I don't like the design (for myself, both are actually quite stunning) nor am I participating in the buy. I didn't call him an asshat (wanted to), I said it was an "asshat move". It is, I stand by that statement. The chips are fine, just not for me... I'm known for pulling asshats and you might have seen a topic much like this from me. I simply have more decorum in my old age.

Wow, there is a difference between calling an action taken foolish, and calling a person generally foolish. Maybe you should think more carefully about exactly what you are saying before posting.

Really? You're right, starting a thread with the title "Egyptian Chips = Ugly?", just to say "these chips are really ugly - I don't like them" is quite benevolent.

Egyptian Chips = unprepossessing?

I am not a fan. Am I the only one here that does not enjoy the apprearance of these chips? I like a simple design. If you like them and/or own them enjoy them, however i prefer traditional chips with edgespots and a small logo in the center.

Is that more politically correct? you need to toughen that skin buddy.

(btw did you have hand in designing the egyptian chipcos? I can't recall, but maybe that's why you are so offended)

Look, I have no problem if you want to call me an asshat for starting this thread. I would probably be offended too if someone was criticizing something i had designed and/or invested a good amount of money in.

I would also like to point out that I have no problem with the Egyptian "theme" itself, just the design of these particular chips. Call me a traditionalist, but poker chips are "supposed" to look like the ones you use in casinos (other than Luxor)... and I found it amusing to see so many people crowing about how beautiful and amazing these look. I think they are weird looking. Again, I was not trying to offend or upset anyone. After all, my own chips are the sub-turd suited chips with the metal inserts, so I really have no room to criticize in general.

Bottom line is that Ten's work is the best looking art on the best chips you can buy for home games, what else do you want? I HATED the chipco Eqyptians, even went so far as to ask "why the hell would anyone want that on their chips??" But on the Paulsons its spot-on

Personally if your in the market for an egyptian themed chip, you can't go wrong with either of Ten's designs. The chipcos are absolute works of art. The closest comparison would be the Luxor's chips which in my opinion are cartoonish looking. See for yourself:

Why anyone would go out of their way to post they think these chips are ugly is beyond me. I guess it's all explained in the name

My skin is plenty thick, it seems that YOU are the one overreacting here. All I said was that this was a useless post (and foolish), and completely unnecessary IMO.
