I think the push is fine man. On a side note, if there is anyway you can move out of the 5+1 at this point you should. The rake at 20% is absolutely killer. Obviously, don't know your financal situation but the 10's aren't any tougher.

My financial situation is fine. I just am a bastard when it comes to sticking to my bankroll management system. I refuse to reload out of my income. If I am going to get out of the burden of 20% rake than I'm going to work my way out of it.

Is that stupid? Perhaps to many. I see it as motivation to reap a higher ROI when I do make it to 10+1.

I understand what your saying. Some people just don't realize the situation with the rake but if you are working through a system it makes sense. Just curious as to what your requirements for moving up and down are? I am doing a system although I haven't always stuck with it.

What range of hands did you put the pre-flop raiser on?? This is huge in whether you push or not.

Also, is it "proper bankroll management" to pay more rake than needed when you have the funds to play at a more advantageous level? Seems to me this might technically be poor management but I understand what you're saying about paying the dues before moving up.

30x the buy in. I would go to Full Tilt or something like that where the rake is less, but I collect rakeback from Party and it offsets the 20% rake a bit.

Plus I'm used to the game play at Party. I probably would suffer more swings if I went to the tighter 9-seater SnG's that Full Tilt has.

I figured probably PP of some sort. At least that's all that I felt I had to worry about. Thinking back on it, I'm sure I would do the same thing again.
