Default Just who is CPC and why should I care??

I'm just curious about everone referring to Card-Player-Cruises as this monstrous affiliate under whom everyone and their mother is signed up.

I have no idea the history involved here, just curious.

What's the story with CPC and why / how are they such a big player??

CPC is the lead affiliate with Party, and has been since day one. They have over 50,000 people signed up. Most of us who joined Party a couple of years ago did so by just clicking on the main website, and CPC became our affiliate.

CPC is a venture of (among others), linda johnson and jan fisher. these 2 women helped build party poker, and are two of the classiest ladies on the planet.

linda johnson is the former publisher of cardplayer mag, where there is also a tight relationship with party and mike sexton since day one. she is referred to as "the first lady of poker" and deserves the title.

it would not surprise me if CPC was not in the top 3 of affiliates for party, and it would not surprise me if the principals of CPC were not very large shareholders as we speak. their integrity is second to none.

If they're so classy what do they offer to/ do for the players? If they're a non-rake back affiliate do they pride themselves on customer service, will they promptly answer questions for you?

This thread implies that people signed up under this affiliate without even knowing it. This seems pretty far from classy to me.
