Default Charge time for a new laptop

Just got my 6000 in today (ordered last Tuesday, FWIW). I plugged in the charger, but after just a short while the battery light went off on the laptop. Does this mean that Dell charged it for me before? Or should I leave it plugged in overnight?

Thanks.

I would leave it unplugged and let the battery trickle down to 0 charge tonight. Then charge it tomorrow.

I believe the battery light goes off when it's fully charged.

Dell ships the laptops with charged batteries. Mine was at 91% when I got it.
